Persistence pays off. Got a gig today at a brewery where I played 2 gigs as an opener in 2023. Been trying for over a year to get booked again. Sent my open dates this morning to the booker; by this afternoon, I got the gig.

All 6 of the 5th grade students on my special education caseload not only exceeded their mid-year math testing goal, but 5 of the 6 also exceeded their year-end math goal.

Been a Dylan fan for 40+ years, but after seeing “A Complete Unknown” last week, I have: learned 4 more songs (10 now); watched “Don’t Look Back”; read the Life magazine special edition that my wife gave me for Xmas; walked 2 miles each way today to a bookstore to try and find “Dylan Goes Electric!”

Looking forward to seeing the new Bob Dylan biopic opening on Xmas Day. Not only because I’m a Dylan fan, but also because part of it (the Newport Folk Festival scenes) was filmed in my summer vacation happy place, Cape May, NJ.
