Indeed, cannot be bothered with the possible risk. Also depending where meeting is location is the issue of guns.
Plenty of great meetings elsewhere and also plenty of top notch collaborations elsewhere.
Spend 2 months in the US or 2 months in Paris? No competition.

Every year we fall further behind other countries.
Our public transport infrastructure is heading the way of the US - useless and 50 years behind the times.
Meanwhile the uber rich get richer and do not contribute proportionately and the oligarch control press helps divide and rule.

I joined HMPS in 1995 and retired in 2019. Underpinning every failing in HMPS is AUSTERITY. From Purging experienced staff, overloading operational managers with admin, privatizing works depts and trying to nail jelly to walls. Torys f'd the organisation irreparably. Kudos to those who had to stay.
