My Grandfather would sit my aunt Dorothy on this rock in the 1940s when she was a little girl. She would fish off the rock while he fished upstream. I got to sit on the rock the other day and meditate on that...it was good. Thank you.

Here's the real sexy part of being a field archaeologist...Monitoring a utility trench and finding an old buried concrete tank or vault from WWII military operations filled with who knows what...But the view sure was nice...

My work week: I was honored to be a tribal consultant working with tribal and NPS scientists to begin planning restoration of an important indigenous ecosystem on the WA Coast. A "prairie bog complex" that has gone unmanaged for nearly a century. We hope to reintroduce fire and humans into the mix.
