I was a letterbox fan too, but to be fair, it's a lot harder making the argument back when we only had 240 vertical lines of resolution that we sacrifice like 30% of them. What we gained in framing we lost in clarity.

Your January 2017 show in Arlington, VA was the first photo I took that year, so for the rest of my life you'll be my 2017 thumbnail image when browsing through my photo folders. Also enjoyed you at the 6th and I Synagogue, 9:30 Club, and more recently with The State at Lincoln Theatre.

Sorry to hear that. I remember you saying once how great the Japanese ska scene was that they could sell out shows on a Tuesday night. All I can do is try to be the change I want to see and keep showing up to support the bands I enjoy.

I meant to say this at your merch table in D.C. recently, but as a camera op/video editor since the 90's I really am impressed that you're so damn good at just everything music-related and THEN decided to add video editing on top of all that. Everyone's got to these days but you really excel at it.
