When FIFA sends its gigolo, Infantino, bearing trinkets as part of the Swiss wooing mission you know there is something crooked going on.

Minimum wage is an absolute joke when you consider that the a ordinary punter is paying an average of £3.50 for a standard coffee, oftentimes with a 50p surcharge for a drop of oat milk, never mind any of the ‘gourmet’ options. I can guarantee you that at least 75% net margins are being made easily.

I think they were said and written about him plenty of times in the past. The difference is now that his popularity is due to the fact the majority of his his support base don’t care and would probably pat him on the back anyway. While news media and its input are important it is people in populist.

The biggest flex for Europe in terms of political direction will come well before the UK is in a settled enough position domestically to have an any input into it. That is the reality of a rapidly changing world and the UK should be part of the conversation asap not staring at its navel.

The irony of Farage acting as an agent provocateur within the EU was bad enough, now they are touting him as a possible PM and there are seemingly millions of UK citizens in support of this. It it wasn’t serious it would be laughable.

The sum total of Jessie Watters humanity and knowledge would comfortably fit in Trumps diaper.
November 25, 2025 at 4:56 PM
The point is you fight your position from within. By sending people like Farage to represent you ended up with disjointed representation in the powerful groups and committees which grind out the real policy and direction of travel in Europe. That’s why, even well before 2016, the UK was sidelined.

I think what he is saying is future membership should be based on being one of the gang, not a gang of one.

Yes the UK, even as members, had had more individual exemptions than the rest of the other European full membership partners combined and still weren’t satisfied.
