New report on the DataHaven website details the projected local-level impacts of SNAP cuts, by #Connecticut town and state legislative district. Many towns in the state are likely to be losing over $500,000 in SNAP benefits each month.

In #Connecticut, use of marijuana/cannabis has been rising in recent years. The 2024 DCWS finds that use varies by population and life experience. Frequent cannabis use often coincides with higher rates of clinical anxiety & depression, but the causal relationship between those variables is complex.

Maple syrup season at Parmelee Farm, a town preserve in #Killingworth #Connecticut! According to our Connecticut Town Data Viewer, 90% of adults here say parks in their area are in good condition & 77% agree there are many parks in the area, compared to statewide rates of 75% and 72%, respectively.

More than 130 people attended CFGNH's briefing today on results from the 2024 DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey. Based on live interviews with over 50,000 randomly-selected residents since 2015, the data help understand key trends in social support, health, infrastructure, and economic security.
