📢 Hear from tech workers who've organised and won

🤝 Help shape the future of your union

✊ Build real power in the tech sector

Every person deserves to feel valued, safe, and listened to on the job. When people unite for dignity and better conditions, that’s not disruption that’s progress.

Solidarity with everyone who stood on that line. ✊

Yes, inequality is rising and the far right feeds on that anger. But the answer isn’t less worker voice it’s more democracy, including at work. When workers organise, they help shape their working lives.

That’s not “over-democratisation.”

That’s union strength. ✊

Remember: IBEC is the union for employers, it represents business interests. So attacks on workplace democracy from that space aren’t neutral.

They’re a defence of employer power, even when dressed up as concern about productivity or “balance.”

Taking profit out of childcare is overdue but why keep the middleman at all? Until Government moves away from dependence on private providers, families, children and staff will remain trapped in a failing market system.

Relying on private providers to deliver a basic entitlement won’t fix waiting lists or insecurity. Most large childcare services are for-profit chains, often highly indebted and vulnerable to market shocks. That’s the instability Government should be removing.

When tech is getting increasingly dystopian, we see worker resistance shine through - AI annotators using AI tools to create their own media about the struggles they face. Check out the song on YouTube and expect to hear it on the picket lines!

While we wouldn't normally use AI generated material in our work, the song you'll hear in this video was created by a Covalen worker.

Pickets will take place from 3pm-7pm both days outside the Nova Atria building in Sandyford. Please like and share the video and spread the word - workers are standing up and demand collective bargaining and respect at work.

Covalen workers in DATA-CWU know the reality of “direct engagement”. It means endless meetings, delays, disrespect, and a pay rise of pennies. A strong union with collective bargaining means real dialogue
January 12, 2026 at 4:14 PM
When people talk of the “voluntary model of industrial relations” this is what it looks like in the majority of the private sector. It’s boilerplate, one-size fits all responses - lip service to direct engagement and raising the shadow of lawfare tactics against trade unions
January 12, 2026 at 4:14 PM
Collective bargaining between employers and unionised workers is the way forward, dismantling inequality and building long term successful & sustainable companies.

When it comes to members' demands for better pay, role recognition, paid sick leave. And hybrid/flexible work policies - they know there's one solution.
