14 years ago, I was in Thailand to help roll out SAP for Mead Johnson Nutrition. The government decided to flood the fields first, impacting majority of the farmers. This cartoon from one of the local newspapers show how impacting the seemingly low value economy can bite you soon afterwards

So much hate against seed oils, yet, South Asia, with nearly 40% vegetarians, consume primarily seed oils, yet have less per capita cancer and heart diseases (till 2010) than west
Fact: animal fats are saturated and need to be stored refrigerated. Bad for heart, bad for planet (carbon footprint)
