New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

O meu pai está no fim de vida no hospital de Faro. Nas urgências numa maca há 2 dias porque não há camas. Mudam-lhe o sítio cada visita e nós familiares temos de o procurar entre outros doentes. Com medo dele já ter partido. Salas cheias, médicos sem tempo para sequer falar connosco. Uma vergonha.

Quero ver o resultado dos portugueses no estrangeiro. Cada um que votou no chega devia ser devolvido ao seu país - pois são contra a emigração não é?! Falta de noção mesmo.

É mesmo isto que se vê no Algarve. O chega não é a solução mas as alternativas deixaram a região desiludida. Os culpados são quem ignorou o sul e as suas necessidades, revoltaram um povo e a ex direita aproveitou-se. Evitável e triste. Agora para recuperar isto leva anos, e investimento.
Não interessa se achamos isto bom ou mau, é a realidade. E a esquerda esteve no poder 7 anos sem dar solução a estas expectativas aumentadas. Viu o preço das casas disparar e a Saúde pública degradar-se sem fazer nada de significativo para contrariar isso.

You might not be aware, but publishers don't allow libraries to buy permanent copies of ebooks/audiobooks. They are rented to them at a much higher rate than an individual can buy them. And they're limited to a low number of rentals before being charged again.

Pleased to report that after flying into Faro airport every month this year I now have it on good (anecdotal) authority that the e gates are NEVER switched on. Chapeau. Top marks. Who needs technology anyway when you can have queues!

I’ve just got back from Faro. A (small) city you can’t move in for parked cars. They’re on zebra crossings, dropped kerbs, blocking entrances. Every square or open area is a car park. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Before & After: I don’t think people realize the extent to which parked cars degrade public space.
