2000 Meters to Andriivka, to which I contributed as a translator, is available to watch on YouTube and the PBS website! It was directed by Oscar-winning Ukrainian filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov. It is an emotional, beautiful, and very important documentary. Don’t miss it!

I love this photo a lot — a portrait of two men from the Brest region, south-western Belarus, 1930s. Their eyes are so piercing, sad, and kind. What did they see? What is the story of these men? So many questions.
