I can't explain it (and I don't have to), but these two would probably get along really well. Just petty "unappreciated" evil weirdos being weird.

On-sale today #BatmanRevolution by John Jackson Miller, completing our #Batman '89 novel duology alongside #BatmanResurrection

Really appreciate the folks at DC trusting us with crafting new stories in the Burton Batman-verse. Definitely a pair of dream projects come true.

In making #BatmanRevolution author @farawaypress.com and I knew we needed lots of riddles/puzzles for this version of the Riddler.

So put them in the actual book. And you can solve one as you read...which has plot implications.

(and yes, the answer key is in the back)

This special "proof copy" of the Revenge of the Sith deluxe edition with a BLACK book block. Only 3 or 4 were made as we tested diff effect options. Ultimately we went with red.

Proofs usually get recycled so it's likely this is the only one left.

Thanks for being a reader Louis.

Fun story from #NYCC. During Matt Stover's first signing we had a massive line. A reader brought with him 14 Stover books to get signed.

This reader knew he would take awhile so he asked if he could be LAST in line so as not to delay his fellow readers in meeting Matt. (1/3)

As a book #editor, it's good to have work boundaries. Thus, I don't always text my authors.

But when I do it's only ever about desperately important and serious things - like the #StarWars #RevengeoftheSith novelization.

Lots, but I'd say start with leveraging a bunch of informational interviews with folks in roles/companies you're interested in.

Use them to learn as much as you can (since publishing remains a frustratingly insular industry).

Ask for 10-15 min chats. Have 2 or 3 focused questions.

Out of respect and deep affection for all my authors I don't really pick favorites.

But I have to say John Jackson Miller and I have been having delirious amounts of fun making #Batman novels. Sort of wild the sorts of story ideas we get to bring to life.
September 13, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Yep, I read EVERYTHING. And I do mean everything. I can't not.

Define more often? Been sort of busy since the spring. Working on *stuff and things* Also fatherhood.

I post when I have something I think folks might care about.
September 12, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Yes. And it's happened more often as time has gone on. It makes reading for fun a bit harder nowadays. But mostly it's just curiosity about *how* a story decision ended up this way

Happens less when I read wildly diff. genres from what I work on.

I have Bat-friends everywhere.

Here is the updated dedication Matt Stover asked us to include in the #StarWars #RevengeoftheSith Deluxe edition.

Mr. Stover added it after I told him part of why we wanted him to annotate this book was to honor readers spending 20 years keeping the legacy of his writing alive.

For our #Batman Revolution novel this Oct, author John Jackson Miller and I worked on integrating puzzles/riddles into the book.

Here's just one small tease of that. Want to learn the title of each book part? You have to solve and decipher a word search, first.

(yes the book has answer keys)

Someone asked to take home part of our booth from #SDCC and how could we say no to giving the Bad Batch a good home? Because when it comes to readers, there's no lengths we won't go.

Thanks for a great show. See you at NYCC

Read Sanctuary a #BadBatch novel in two weeks. #StarWars #SDCC

Progress!! The quote wall grows. Keep em coming

The inside of our convention booth has these blank walls so I started writing book quotes, for no reason.

Lots of room to cover. What else should go on the wall? #SDCC

Help me add to the tapestry.
