Madness. The equivalent of throwing in the towel and giving up.

He's just the supra-establishment wishing to self replicate itself within the institutions. He represents interests that politics doesn't affect because they're so wealthy and established. Him talking about the establishment is as intentionally illogical as say P utin talking about the establishment

Very Greek Revival. The war of independence ended in 1832 and the country only opened to international grand tourists after that. So this would have been very 'with it' at the time stylistically.

They can't as the building is thankfully listed as a Category A and includes notes on the originality of its fixtures and fittings. Rightly so.

I don't think even he has enough money to be able to afford the amount of therapy that poor child is going to need.

And another £75,000 to take it all down when its Christmas. So you can double that right out of the gate. Not to mention the sun bleaching and dirt they'll get on them being next to A roads. That's how much they'll cost every time you have to put them up and take them down. Locking in a money pit.

Looks like it'll open a portal to the shadow realm if you do the right rituals in front of it. Deeply cursed looking.

Self selection isn't it. The moment only 15% responded the whole thing should have been chucked out for too small of a sample size.

Similar experience here but different situation. GP wouldn't explain how use a medical device, I pressed and kept going. As when I arrived they said; "thanks for that, I don't mind when a man holds a door open, I don't go in for all that 'woke' stuff." An adult this is. Now I understand everything.

The absolute nadir of client journalism.

I often find the kind of parents who are so enthusiastic as to remove their own children from the family home at such a formative age usually did not want them in the first place. And only had them because of societal and parental (grandparental) expectations, and thus looming risk of disinheritance

You're right. Intentionally built that way for symmetry.

They even shared it up on their LinkedIn. What kind of serious business would be proud of this, especially in a professional context?

Also the work the machines produced was far inferior to the handmade items. So customers were getting ripped off because they were still paying a handmade price for a machine made product and the factory owners would pocket the difference. No savings were passed onto the customers. 1st shrinkflation

UK stats show 100 people per year are killed (dim. respon) by people without adequate access to mental health services

And 87,000 adults under the age of 75 have died prematurely from inadequate services in 3 years. That's 79 people gone per day, everyday. 66% can be prevented by doing basic checks

It's nice how its windows blend with the rest of the street scene yet the giant order (columns or pilasters that go through 2-stories) adds some theatre to the corner.

Who on earth talks like that? An utterly bizarre tantrum. He talks like he's the creature living under a bridge in a fairytale written as a warning to 17th century children.

You can't hoard a single item. You can't hoard a single mobile phone. The premise is ludicrous.

That little shouldered arch in the bottom left just to add a subtle bit of variety!

It's very modern in its design, yet materially very traditional. Very ahead of its time.

The whole thing looks like very low budget Hieronymus Bosch nightmare fuel.

Better off going to some independent ones to be honest. Illy are the worst I've ever tasted by a long way, because of that. But they were ahead of the game in terms of bad quality.

Have you tired a passion fruit Solero now? They entirely taste of lemon. Got rid of all passion fruit. They taste of absolutely nothing. I sent them an email thinking it was a batch error, but instead they confirmed it (in weasel words) and sent vouchers for their red berry one, the one I don't like

I just did some digging and apparently a metallic aftertaste in chocolate can be caused by 2 main issues; under or over roasted cocoa beans, or more likely lower grade cocoa beans that are poorly fermented. I highly suspect the latter.

It's the size. On more modernist buildings the windows can be the height of an entire wall and almost the entire width of a room. So also the frames usually need to be aluminium with reinforcement. And being so sun exposed they've also given them a coating. Likely to prevent overheating.
