The saga continues. TIL you can't upgrade SQL Server 2014 RTM straight to SQL Server 2014 SP3 CU14. Had to upgrade to SP1, SP1 CUx, SP2, SP3 .. 🤦‍♂️
But it did then survive an underlying OS in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2012R2 to Windows Server 2016 ...
AND MIM still works. What a resilient unit
