Umm Al-Jimal, Jordan is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site! So happy with this news, and feeling proud for my role in the process. Thanks to so many who worked here before me and to the many wonderful team members across so many organizations.

After many months of being woefully overdue, I've submitted two book chapters to important academic volumes! Feeling a little ashamed about the lateness but great about finally getting these off to the editors! 🍻

Sadly, @unesconow.bsky.social is not yet actively posting here, but they are posting some wonderful news about all the newly inscribed #WorldHeritage sites on other platforms. Please do check out these amazing and worthy places! Hopefully next year we'll get good news for Umm Al-Jimal, Jordan!

My first-ever visit to Saudi Arabia, for the AlUla World Archaeology Summit, was amazing and very inspiring! It was a privilege to be invited and to learn and share with so many others passionate about the future of archaeology and heritage.

Higher ed is a place where this is really visible because it's literally staffed with experts. A lot of them have business schools even. But everywhere it feels like ppl with power believe consultants are the only ones who know how to do any job and can do every job
I do not understand the usage of consultants in hire Ed. Give your faculty- you know the experts-course releases and pay them. Why are you going to the middlemen unless it really is just you paying millions to get others to agree with you.

Hello, Bluesky! I'm just setting up here from the former bird app. I hope to find a good community here to share with and learn from. My big interests are Archaeology, Heritage, and digital tools/methods in these areas, but I'm also interested in neurodiversity, faith, and much more.
