I feel and understand you, but what's the 'vibe' of the American dream? Is it going to college? Republicans have denigrated college and post-secondary education. Is it buying a home? Most Gen Z and younger have been priced out of the housing market by people like Trump. Is it a good paying job?

But, what is the American dream they believe in? That is the question. Trump is not a symbol of the American dream. He is the symbol of unbridled power and the culture of white supremacy. That is undeniable. His message for your neighbors is to blame ‘the other’ for their inability to access it.

If the majority of these schools were not in lower quadrant of states ranked by poverty and education, I wouldn't say a word. It would be nice if some of that money actually went towards better education to pull people out of poverty so that they kids wouldn't have to hope for an athletic payday.
