Our game's first-ever public demo finally has a release date! The Equalizer will set out on their mission beginning August 8th, on @itch.io.

Some lasers can be directed using mirror plates, which can be rotated by simply attacking them. Don't worry, these lasers haven't been designed to be harmful. 🪞

Take your time and move the mirrors to suit your needs!

In a pinch? Look for any open doors nearby! Inside you'll find larger statues to refresh yourself and create a checkpoint that you can load back to at any time.

These statues seem to depict someone called "The First Equalizer..." Could there perhaps be a connection?

Another tool at your disposal is the Remote Flashbang. Throw and detonate to overload enemies and tech for a limited time!

Light Mode also affects your being too. You can't use hiding spots, and the Equalizer's weapon now can only stun enemies. Mind what's ahead when using this mode!

In Light Mode, you have access to new abilities to deal with obstacles and foes via sabotage and interference.

For instance, you can summon a bubble of light around you to power unreachable machinery and navigate through pitch-black spaces, the darkness of which will encroach on you now.

What was a quick solution the Light thought would destroy the Equalizer became a valuable tool in their arsenal.

By harnessing energy from bright statues, the Equalizer can gain access to Light Mode: a massive shakeup in the Equalizer's capabilities. ⚡ 🟡

Connecting shadow nooks allow for greater freedom of movement, gliding to unreachable corners as if you were swimming within the darkness itself.

Dark Mode lets you move much more freely. But be warned... anything bright you come across will slowly drain away at you! 🔦

With Dark Mode, shadows and hiding spots become your greatest friend, allowing traversal between nearby hiding spots to get past even the strongest of obstacles!

By harnessing excess power from certain statues, the Equalizer will switch modes, changing the way you interact with the world and vice versa.

For example, statues such as this one grant the Equalizer access to Dark Mode: an extension of their own power. 🔥 ⚫

This week's been a hefty one for polish: adding fade transitions for doors and cutscenes, making sure saving and loading isn't broken, pause menu backgrounds, you name it...

Laser in your way? Why not phase through it?

The Equalizer's newly learned Dash ability not only allows faster and farther movement, but you can also avoid harm and detection from any ceiling lights or laser walls that stand before you! Just be sure you mind the gap!
