Another cozy read from my local library. The author says in her note that she set out to write a book that felt like drinking hot chocolate and she succeeded. A nice fantasy with lots of jam, baked good and flying cats.

Dragula has been my background show lately & I love the disclaimer they make before judging. Rejection is such a huge part of being in the arts, & I think a lot of us as authors or illustrators could use that reminder whether we're querying, on submission or just having our art out in the world.
"We are not here to judge your drag. Drag is art and art is subjective. What we are judging you on is your drag as it relates to this competition."

My local bar listed a book club as one of the events this month and the book looked great, so I checked to see if the club was open to anyone and went last night with a friend! Super excited about jumping outside my comfort zone. I also really enjoyed this book. I'm all about the cozy right now.

A very successful evening! The shadow cast did a great job, props were excellent and kiddo had a wonderful time! She did wonder where the last 20 minutes of the movie came from though. LOL!
