It’s a collection of linked short stories. This is the first in the collection, one of my favorite pieces of writing ever. (Though I cannot vouch for the quality of this particular translation.)

Silksong added the one element I felt was missing from the original— a clear, long-term goal to achieve. The original had me feeling aimless for huge stretches, in spite of the fun of exploring. A perfect sequel.
