No I think a community that emphasizes enthusiastic consent and tags/triggers so much (and especially one that contains and attracts so many ND folks prone to dysregulation already) should handle this carefully. I've seen it done really thoughtfully and am incredibly grateful for those writers.

I also think there's a difference between there's angst in here bc that's what the story/characters are really calling for vs inserting it/keeping it going for angst's sake. I'm really sensitive to the latter and I wish I weren't so

ME TOO! I've been jump scared w/ what feels like BIG TIME angst & had to abandon stories I was absolutely adoring. I realize it's unfair but I feel really sad/ betrayed when that happens. life is so hard...I don't read fic to feel bad & it bums me out when authors find it funny that it's a surprise
