Be kind. Above the lip of a waterfall things might be rather benign. Then things happen in a big hurry. I've been there. I've had to rescue someone heading for a really bad outcome. At great risk to myself as well. So eternally grateful that in the end everyone was fine.

Now and then I am pleasantly surprised by some new music and some new artists. So I won't say the music produced today is garbage and the oldies are better. But it seems to take more effort to find this good stuff nowadays.

Thank you! And I had forgotten about that previous post. That flower was the only thing that survived a very early killing frost that September. But since then I have seen roses do just that on a few other occasions. Sort of refusing to give up. 😊

Lovely! I took a very similar photo in 2010. My last rose of summer that year. I treasure it still. 😊

Without knowing this, years ago I planted a paper birch near a Douglas fir in my yard. The birch is doing very well and, I think, now, is helping the fir to hang in there against various infestations. In my yard, all the different trees have to learn to get along. And I think they do. 💚

Beautiful colours! But for me, things are reversed. I've seen lots of bright green before but not much magenta. 🤔
