Even though the char around the edges gets cleaned up with another round of sanding, a quick spritz of water before using the branding iron helps to keep the lines looking even more crisp in the end.

Also, while I haven't had the chance yet to update the options and photos on the listing, I recently picked up some Purpleheart (I just enjoy how vivid the color can be at times) and some Canarywood (mostly yellow and light brown, though this one had a faint red streak).
