A Super Puma helicopter rescued four people on Sunday from the Salahuddin cargo ship, part of a wider operation involving a boat with 35 migrants south of Ierapetra, #Crete. Two of the four who were airlifted to Heraklion hospital did not survive.

A #wildfire that broke out on the Greek island of #Chios on Tuesday is still raging. According to the Fire Service, coastguard boats and private boats have been evacuating people from Limnia and Agia Markella beaches.

Areas northwest have also received evacuation alerts.
