Sorry to hear that but I don’t think that there is a connection between the three 🇩🇪 NPPs (just 1,2% of 🇩🇪 energy supply in 2023) that were shut down and the raise of the energy prices in Sweden.

And in 🇩🇪 we still don’t have a solution when it co es to nuclear waste. No one wants it in his „backyard“. Half of the current administration in 🇩🇪 is a fan of nuclear so if it’s economical they could start a new project here but I think they too will co veto the conclusion that it is too expensive

Also after turning off the NPs in Germany the energy didn’t get more expensive just because of that. It was because we also stoped buying most of the Russian gas. Currently I pay for electricity as much as I did before 2022.

Biogas was suggested just as one of many alternatives. I think it’s more important to see this as Europe. We as a country do not have to be self sufficient. If there isn’t wind or sun in Germany there might be in other countries in Europe. Also smart energy storage solutions are being worked on.

Sorry I can’t give you specifics but the possible energy produced would be relative to the amount of agricultural waste from fields and stables (and other biological waste) available.
It’s just a backup I suggested. One advantage is that it can be started pretty quickly when needed.

Renewable (wind solar and water) of course backed up by organic gas and European cooperation and energy trade.
There are some other backup energy solutions but nuclear definitely makes no sense because it’s one of the most expensive forms of energy.

It makes absolutely no sense starting now developing nuclear energy. It’s too expensive 🙄

I was a kid furinh the Cold War so not much memory there. So I know it was part of the USSR.
Then times when Ukraine wanted a better deal on the transfer of Russian gas.

If Ukraine is supposed to make a deal to pay back for the financial help and military goods they got maybe in return Trump should read a deal the US made in the past. The Budapest Memorandum in which the US agrees on sending troops to help Ukraine if it got invaded.
