Sad news. My old apartment was near there and above an Italian bakery. When the weather was nice, we could open all the windows and it would smell like a mix of chocolate and cannoli shells.

Absolutely. Both groups may, for example, show equal amounts of "intolerance" towards groups with which they disagree, but that ignores normative qs about which groups are/aren't worthy of being the targets of intolerance.

I'm only part of the way through the paper, but looks like they find some evidence of symmetry across party ID, but that polarization is a stronger predictor of support for violence among Rs.

We do have a bunch of trust and legitimacy measures in both waves of the 2020 election data (including for SCOTUS). Not much in the way of predictors, unfortunately (eg abortion attitudes)

I remember that. It was in Tampa during the pirate festival. Iirc, Bargh wore a pirate hat at one point and you could hear canons going off during the session. It was my second spsp and definitely made an impression.
