#3GoodThings

1. Attempted my own photoshoot with the baby (because how hard can it be...?!) and got some fab shots.

2. Explored a super quirky bookshop on Bold Street with mum.

3. Succumbed to the filthiest of filthy burgers and don't regret a thing.

#3GoodThings

1. Lunch with a different crowd

2. Seeing Liverpool glow in natural light on the drive back

3. Beginning the baby's first Christmas season(!)

Got to be up there for one of the most tender songs ever written.

Docks looked resplendent this afternoon and there is hope on the horizon

Not heard of Madison Cawein before but glad to have stumbled across her work.

Our faces when we lead 1-0 first half but leave on a 4-1 loss. Unbelievable.

Lovely Liverpool at dusk!

Celebrating the bicentenary of modern rail travel. LOVING travel with the babs (when the trains run smoothly and people aren't twonks!)

Green green Milton Keynes!

I particularly liked the involvement of people beyond the exhibition to inform the design of the space and respond to the prompt, it gives it a personalness and connects the then and now.

First family footy since this one's arrival! His verdict was a snooze until 70mins (when we all woke up...)

Anyway, here's how Liverpool looks from the secret side of the river.

First time to Alder Hey for us and what an experience it is - so patient-centred! There's natural light, open space and wooden bird branches indoors! THIS is what hospitals should be like.

Anyone who has stayed on ward will tell you it's a bubble. Surroundings like these make such a difference.

In 2015 I asked my yr 5/6s a set of questions relating to identity. Gutted it wasn't formally done as the responses give such an insight - those are the 'in their 20s' now.

Sad news re Jack Vettriano. He's not everyone's cuppa but his work is charismatic, candid and captures moments less showcased.

What poems/poets are you feeling at the moment?

For me it's classic Percy Bysshe Shelley, particularly this offering. Not only is it expertly crafted technically but the writer is within it. It's immortalised the poet in that moment. Good writing is more than words (imho!) #poetry #Shelley
