The Adventures of Dandan & Ada.

Things have been a bit quiet around here. ICYMI, I broke my foot, and have had a lot of time to think. I’m finally back walking, and have lots of exciting adventures coming soon...

Until then, here’s an AI Hergé inspired illustration via ChatGPT.

Anyone broken a foot and have advice? I’m going to be laid up for quite a bit. Will know more in two weeks if it requires surgery and how long recovery will be.

I think the dog has started to work out we’re not going to the beach for some time!

This year is off to an eventful start. Fractured my foot! Going to have to take it easy for a bit.

Ada is confused why her human isn’t taking her to the beach to retrieve sticks, although she does seem interested in the crutches.

Ada — Branch Manager

Ada is a very floofy and friendly black/chocolate Labradoodle. She’s an excellent retriever of sticks and balls at the beach or park.

Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington
└ wellington-map.png

I made a map for my site recently with some old contour data to show a couple of my favourite spots (Worser Bay & The Basin Reserve), plus places I frequently visit.

Mostly to give people an idea where I am when Iʻm not on the Internet.

ASCIIOM UI [Console] 2024
└ axiom-ascii-ui.png

For the new Axiom homepage I made ASCII versions of our UI. They’re fun, but have nothing on the product and engineering teams work this year. They’ve made huge progress with new features and refinements.

Logging, re-invented.

Made a new homepage for Axiom. Lots of pixels and ASCII.
