Those of us who write to entertain the reader are keenly aware that Amazon's Kindle Unlimited is the must-have reading subscription. For about $12 monthly, you can read millions of books to your heart's content. It's a great deal when you know that ONE Kindle, not to mention a paperback, goes for about that. What readers may not know is that authors can see when (not who) someone buys one of our books and the number of pages they read each day. It's exciting to see their progress and conjecture what part of the book they are reading.

Love how people talk about “shameless self-promotion.” Does the word “marketing” ring a bell? 🤣

Opinion: In Praise and Defense of Womanhood (for guys only)

No, I have not lost a bet, nor is someone squeezing my boys for ransom. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they feel compelled to tell the truth, no matter what. In this case, the subject is women. A final caveat: this is to be read by men only. If you are a person of the female persuasion, put this down immediately, if not sooner. Some of you guys may think you know where I’m going with this. If so, bear with me on the parts where you are right and be open to the truth for once in your life on the parts that tear your guts apart and make you cringe.

Those who read “Letters from Blitz” may recall how Blitz’s BFF, Lars, had been waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge. Here they are on Earth before they resumed their friendship in the magical place. mybook.to/LettersFromB...

Sometimes I feel awfully guilty about having written about only one of my five Weimaraners. I'm making amends. My next book about a boy and his dog features this guy, using his pre-adoption name. Can you guess Trueno's original name? dansantosbooks.com

This is Blitz, the friend about whom I wrote "Letters from Blitz." It's been years, but our love is timeless. I miss him so much.

My friend Christopher Greyson wrote a new fantastic murder mystery. Read for free at Kindle Unlimited.

Blitz crosses the Rainbow Bridge, sad and confused, missing his humans, and discovers a great injustice against those who had no earthly families. With typical Weimaraner daring, he talks the heavenly powers into upholding compassion at the Rainbow Bridge. 4.7 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ mybook.to/LettersFromB...

Book Review: “The Golem of Rhodes” by Jonathan Harries
Those of you who have read my other reviews of Jonathan Harries’ work will not be surprised when I say that I loved “The Golem of Rhodes.” I have loved all his other books as well. In fact, I usually read his latest book when I need to read something well written that defies fiction fads. It’s like swallowing two spoonfuls of honey to calm a persistent cough; you have known honey’s curative effects all your life and wonder why it took you so long to take it. His “Tales of the Sica” series tells the story of how his family has plied the murder trade for generations with a “sica,” a curved dagger used by ancient Illyrians, Thracians, and Dacians, strapped to the assassin’s ankle.

Someone read 13 pages of one of my books and @awscloud.bsky.social KU is considering paying me a nickel. That would be an improvement over the 1 penny they paid for over 1000 pages. Yep, authoring in Amazon is not for the faint of heart. 😂😂😂

Fiction is not for the “wishy-washy.” It confuses the reader. Write “some people like pumpkin spice and some do not.” Don’t write “pumpkin spice is not without controversy.” The author is the reader’s guide. Don’t let them down.

Book Review: “Insurrection: Appalachian Command” an unsolicited email review.
This morning, I opened my email client and found a new Eleanor Jeffery review of Appalachian Command that I thought I should share with our readers. From the very first line of Insurrection: Appalachian Command, one cannot help but be struck by the urgency, the intensity, and the haunting relevance of your vision. A devastating terror attack, a coup at the heart of American leadership, and the rise of tyranny that blurs the line between foreign infiltration and homegrown betrayal—it is a premise that doesn’t just entertain, it…
