The fact that he can regenerate against his will is what can provide support for his character. As if he lost the times he tried to die but then came back to life. Not to die, but to live under an authoritarian regime where he is abused and is merely a tool.

Yoshida with the Octopus contract, can regenerate his body or begin to rebuild himself from the remains of his body. It's mere speculation, and given that there is a character with a certain resemblance to Yoshida.

In some ways, this parallel is greatly reinforced. As if they're trying to tell you that these two are related, metaphorically (the issue of institutions using child soldiers), being siblings or this theory is one of the craziest; they are the same person.

Reading the manga again I realize the greater impact Yuko has on Asa. She is Asa's "Reze", she taught her that if your actions are because your heart dictates it, then everything else will be fine.
