Proton is good for the web services stack: mail, calendar, storage, VPN etc. Based in Switzerland. For music I've heard good things about qobuz.com french service with lossless high quality streaming. Alternatively docker and open source software are your friends.

I've got a Sony android TV. As much as I hate being locked into a big tech ecosystem it does allow you to set it to app only mode. When you turn it on you get some ads for stuff from streamers on a static banner and then just a list of apps. Wish I could turn the beep off though.
