Former and occasional tenants rights attorney. Landlords do not @ me. New England then, Minneapolis now, housing and economic justice forever.
I'm not specifically aware, but there seems to be some sort of aesthetic going on so it's my best guess

Gotta figure it's for someone's video, right?

the final *concept* layout was approved 13-0, although Council Members raised a lot of concerns about the lanes on the bridges over 35W as well as the lack of bike infrastructure. now goes back to public engagement before the design is set in stone. but the design layouts often carry a lot of weight

for what it's worth, CM Jenkins echoes our concerns, and said she wants to see improvements in the final outcome

My only question is whether the City has the authority over those lanes or whether MNDOT has some say. I just don't know the jurisdictional issues there. But those lanes are horrible.

Show me safety information that does not rely on any data produced by Waymo itself.

Also "One company does bad things so you can't talk about other companies doing bad things" is a very stupid argument. I hate Tesla's self-driving features too and think they should be illegal.

The full Council meeting is ongoing now, but no idea what time they'll take it up. Still working through committees right now.

I do not trust Big Tech, I do not trust Google. You're free to do so, even though the last quarter-century would advise not to. Good luck.

It's wild. Every time I go there I see some new horror that I could never have previously imagined.

I honestly put this in there for client protection. As down as I am on it, I don't think generative A.I. should be banned. But I think clients have a right to know if it's being used or not.

This guy maintains a database of those cases. Can't say it's literally every case everywhere, but it's fairly complete.

You're free to run your practice the way you want. I've never had an issue with the quality or speed of my work to warrant doing anything different.

Yeah, that's why I'm not an A.I. Never. I just don't think they're useful or reliable enough for regular use in a wide swath of our work at this point. And I think getting them near any sort of substantive drafting is dangerous. Maybe people have had different experiences, but that's what I see
November 19, 2025 at 11:13 PM
But if you need A.I. to tell you how to respond to your opponent's Motion to Dismiss, or to find an argument to compel discovery responses, or to write an email to opposing counsel, then I think you're in the wrong line of work.
