Congrats on returning and success with a difficult several months. It was like a biomedical boot camp. Now you need some time to recover emotionally and spiritually. Be easy on yourself, it can take some time.

That's hilarious!

There's some jerks in the world 🤬. Sorry for your frustration.

A caring and important message. Thank you. Always but especially now.

I shopped for another supply to take to the food bank on Monday.

This time will include a big bag each of dog and cat food, that they will divide into smaller bags.

I feel good about doing that, and not as helpless.

Looks like you are at your peak 😀.

Really nice! So vibrant and colorful! Your great grandson will enjoy it so much!

Making the pieced binding is a nice, creative artistic final touch. I think it makes the binding into more a part of the art, and not just "well, I have to finish this". Anxious to see the final quilt!

I made a red and blue binding for a QOV waiting for it to come back from long arm service.

It's going to be a fantastic quilt!

Thank you 🙏

That would be reassuring for me.
I have someone who will take care of Rufus, but almost my age. Rufus clearly know he is loved. The last time I left im with a neighbor / friend for all of 3 hours, he sat by the door the entire time! That neighbor can be completely trusted but is older than I am.

Thank you!
I think the final HSTs came out to 9 inches. The size was based on what I could get put of the pre-shrunk fabric, 2 ten-inch squares per fat quarter. Left-overs were used to make the striped HSTs. I used the "magic" method so they didn't get stretched on the bias.

I worry about the same thing. Sometimes I do some math and wonder if I will outlive him. I have tried to identify potential homes for him but so far, have to found any.

Wow, you are so fortunate to have a squirrel hound to protect you. Those rodents are vicious!

Raintree nursery has some nice varieties.

They are make and female. I don't know if pollination is easy between American and Asian types. I have a very tasty hybrid between the two species, "Nikita's Gift", developed a generation ago in Ukraine. It has the rich flavor of American, with the somewhat larger size of Asian. No pollination.

These are Japanese persimmons, a different species from American. Some are good before becoming soft and jelly-like. I tried growing American persimmons but they don't do well in my yard.

Do possum like your persimmons?

It came out beautiful!

I go through the same process, alternating liking and not.

That last crinkle process is kind of magical.

Such a sweet doggie!

And a nice quilt, too!

Yes. I used the thinnest batting I could find.

I'm glad it's done!
