I like where Internet is heading after reading this. I try to switch to files since I discovered how much hustle it is to backup things I stored in SaaS apps.

Now, with Bluesky and Obsidian promoting being owner of your content it feels a bit easier.

Been there (still there though) - it gets even more challenging when the child grows, they require more attention every month and sleep less and less :)

I’m still figuring it out, I don’t want to prioritise side hustle over my kid or my sleep. Challenging.

I did a survey on Tally.so
It is a nice tool but just placing link isn’t giving many responses. I guess it would work better to have some email automation and ask actively.

When I was reading your post, I thought that I need to improve my writing.

That’s because for me, your post is very human and personal. While mine are sometimes more „reserved” thus my personality is not so visible and might look AI-ish.

30+ I guess I’m in it for about 10 years of very low volume. There is so much other things that require attention. But we will make it one day 🤞

I try to use a single external monitor to boost my focus. Sometimes while debugging or doing something that requires terminal, AI chat etc I also open laptop to have 1 „real” screen + one supportive.

I also prefer a single external monitor because of ergonomics.

Very interesting, as a next step I would experiment adding 3 days for $2 and 7 days for $3 to highlight that there are options and increase $3 dollars sells as best value.

Small adjustment but very smart. I have to make the same move.

Recently, I noticed I react better to get disrupted while reading a book than when I’m doomscrolling short videos. It’s easier to get back to the book. Two benefits at once :)

I just created a list in Todoist that I always clone and use while packaging

I’ve seen that the db configuration is Yaml but how about the data itself?

How will database be stored? As a json file, markdown or other format?

Working in very bright office with huge windows I switched to light mode. My colleague asked me if this *really* is how I’m working 🤓

Good approach I think. You avoid premature optimisation, the thing that blocks me many times 😝

I try to keep my website as simple as possible. I’m extracting some interactive elements only to subpages that require them.

I also had my account here but I’m sad that after fees and taxes half of the income is gone 😕
