With the support of Dogs Trust, this research has the potential to set new standards for animal welfare monitoring—providing a scalable, objective approach to understanding and improving the lives of dogs in kennels.

Key objectives:
- Developing an automated video analysis system to optimise data collection & processing
- Training deep neural networks to track canine posture & movement - Identifying behaviours through clustering techniques
- Creating a real-time monitoring tool to support welfare assessments
