I mean:
-They would've likely gotten Trump II, but better bc he still had smart-ish advisors
-The DNC primary in '24 would've been a nightmare because of it
-[Democrat] wins against Pence in 2024

Ok, while I don’t love that flight: it literally didn’t emit a gram of CO2 more than from the 6 women in there breathing. It runs on hydrogen and oxygen, so it just produced water

Given alzheimers, dementia, and most cancers were around before plastics littered the earth? probably not "the" cause of those. (Plus any major rise in any of those is more due to the fact that we have less folks die in mine collapses or the plague today)

Still better than it being the “Wuhon flu” or “Bat fever”

I used a ZFold 3 for a while, and the biggest issues I had with it were battery life, software, and durability. If those can get solved, especially by Apple, I’d be down

It's cool but it always looks like it should fold out like this

I think saying "they're all about race" implies "the main theme revolves around race," which isn't true about either Us or Nope, although they still include themes about race

Not to defend them too hard, but bc of Apple's size, they become the sin-eater for the tech world. Foxconn also makes Google phones, child miners are used in the supply chain to mine resources, etc. Just like Nike with sweatshops and their supply chain

it made sense when each game had to be engraved on a silicon chip and not a second after that

i think i've seen this film before, and i didn't like the ending

The democratic house leadership is also in a minority, and capital/DC police all listen to the majority of congress, which rn is republican

What power. Say what power Chuck Schumer can use

Further proof that 99% of "inventions" are just well marketed innovations. The later Lego brick would remove the weird side knotches, and would add tubes at the bottom to make it stronger, which is what made it the toy we know of today

I really think the goal of Apple TV+ was to take over the mantle of HBO since it's gotten merged into Max, and like, if they advertised more, it'd be true

They have what I describe as "middle child syndrome," they're being squeezed on both sides of the market stealing marketshare. If you want boring refinement, you get an iPhone. If you want interesting innovation, you go elsewhere in Androidland. No real reason to buy a Galaxy

I think what needs to be said is that progress, for all of human history, has gone forward. Even when it's gone backward, it went forward again coming out of it. Just because we're on one side of the pendulum doesn't mean we'll never get back onto the other one after the next swing

The issue is that each lie begins with an ounce of truth, and by going on the complete binary opposite of that lie, you're likely going to be lying a bit yourself. "ivermectin will never do anything to help cancer" and "ivermectin alone cured my friends breast cancer" are both lies

ok but also, taking from industry:

I think the main thing that’s annoying with DoorDash and the like is that literally nobody is winning. Drivers often make less than min wage, restaurants have to pay huge fees (which is why delivery is more expensive before tip/service fees) and on top of it all they somehow aren’t profitable

Fun fact: this means they saved out on ~2 resistors to make it request the proper voltage via USB PD, so it’s just wired up exactly like a USB Micro-B connector
