Didcot Labour 2 Lane Campaign is aimed at alleviating congestion and improving safety for all. At the moment buses and cars are delayed creating unnecessary fumes whilst in the traffic jam, and pedestrians and cyclists are at risk from cars mounting the pavement. #Didcot
Labour is calling for Hitchcock Way in Didcot, the road leading east from Didcot Parkway station, to be reconfigured as three lanes for motor traffic. The road is currently two lanes with a cycleway and footpath on each side.

We are not calling for the removal of the cycling route. We believe there is space to accommodate the widening of the road across the short section of Hitchcock Way and maintain provision for cyclist, pedestrians and wheelers.
