How is it managing to be gross AND smug?!

I love the idea of this, but I feel like it wouldn’t be a goer for us for loss of lesson time

good for flagging kids not working outside of lessons (as in by week 2 you’ve handed in three late homeworks etc.) but the planning/organising is sending me round the hat rack 😫 3/3

of time! This has meant it’s been a pain workload wise to organise. But I set written homework every lesson, check it’s been done (as in by eye not marking it) and then give them my worked solutions. They’re then expected to pick up any issues outside of lessons in hw club etc. Found it’s been 2/3

This year I’ve gone in hard on small homework every single lesson. The idea is that we wean them off the support through the course because when we just expect them to be independent right off the bat we just get headaches - even setting anything where they could just copy answers was a waste 1/3

I read Jane Eyre for the first time this year and loved it. I also love DH Lawrence’s Sons and Lovers (but Lady Chatterly’s Love is a steaming turd of a book).
