It's funny how all these dumb takes come from from CEOs, the guys making the most money, and the people generally less involved in the actual game development process.

Well, it's a little more complex than that, while it was a Gen Z meet up, it mixed up with a general disappointment with the current administration and organized crime problem, quite specifically fed up after the recent assassination of a local Mayor who was seen as someone willing to fight back.
