Nobody has ever had to accept that description. A lot of us turned it into a badge later on, and I understand that. But I never thought of myself as a nerd, scrawny or a fan boy. But I’ve been called all that-and much worse. was also called a ”brain” by people in school- I didn’t accept that either!

NOCTURNALS: The Sinister Path OGN hit in 2017. We reached fewer than 2k readers. Dark Horse is now reaching thousands more, with 8 new covers, 8 new story pages. I’m beyond thrilled- it means so many people will discover it as new.And yes, I’m painting the follow up now, already penciled.

Kickstarter is a fantastic tool! But not the ultimate answer all the time. Making a fully-painted graphic novel at 96 pages (plus two covers) from scratch requires a year of work+.Can a KS raise enough to afford me a living wage, production costs, printing & fulfillment?

It’s a bit condescending for my taste. I could personally poke a lot of holes in the statement. People who term you a “misfit, weirdo, nerd”, etc, don’t know us and have their own issues. We don’t have to accept that, I never did. Reading comics, or anything, was a big positive!
