A Pixel phone w/ GrapheneOS installed is a good way to go if you want a de-googled and secure phone. Requires a little technical inclination, but is pretty solid overall!

Happened to me on my *Microsoft Surface* laptop. Doesn't even work on their own hardware. 🤦♂️

Can vouch: Some of my friends claim to have applied for upwards of 50 jobs since graduation and still haven't found work in their fields (EE/CE/CS). It feels like there's tons of listings, but only a very small percentage of them are actually real headcount.
