He’s doing this because he thinks poor and sick people are worthless and should be killed. Same reason he wants to rename Veterans Day to Victory Day, he thinks anything that has empathy or helps people who aren’t on top is weakness and must be rooted out.

You say that until you encounter someone on the subway waving a knife around and screaming about how they can’t wait to murder someone and go to jail so they can eat (real lived experience I’ve had on the subway). There’s no real way to de-escalate that peacefully I fear.

Well I’m a teacher and they said the same thing in schools about consequence and enforcement policies, so they got rid of everything (detention, expulsions, suspension, even community clean up). Now kids trash the school, fight everyday, carry weapons on them, and nothing happens.

I mean, but our options really “let people go buck wild and destroy public spaces/disrupt people with no consequences” and “black children are going to be shot”? I feel even in America there has to be an enforceable middle between these two extremes.
