What I’ve learned about ADHD: motivation follows interest, not obligation. It’s not a lack of discipline, it’s different wiring. The goal isn’t forcing consistency, it’s building systems that work with how the brain engages.

Stoicism and autism are both misunderstood. Neither is about lacking emotion, it’s about not being ruled by it. The “double empathy problem” goes both ways; people understand best within their own communication style. Sometimes peace is quiet.

Fridays are my gentle days. I slow things down so I can think, plan and write without pressure. I keep the day free from client work because it’s my book-writing day. A slower end to the week always helps me start the next one feeling clearer. If you need a slower day too, take it.

I first came across Stoic philosophy in Derren Brown’s Happy, and it clicked straight away. It wasn’t about detachment, it was about steadiness.

For many autistic people, Stoicism feels natural. It’s a way to find order in chaos, to focus on what we can control when the world feels unpredictable.

Money tasks need a focus I don’t always have. Being autistic doesn’t make me a maths genius. Executive function shows up differently for everyone. Sometimes it’s procrastination, sometimes it’s losing interest halfway through.

I used to have ten tabs open searching for answers. Now I just ask ChatGPT. AI is changing how we find information, and what that means for creators. Maybe the future of blogging isn’t about keywords, but human stories and connection.
