Not sure how much I’ll update because I’m running on auto pilot here, but I’m at the RAC for Rutgers and Central Connecticut. Game #17.

I wasn’t doing these quick hitters 18 years ago.

Join me as I celebrate college basketball media adulthood with this quick postgame hitter from the alma mater. #sjubb

It was on this night in 2007 that my college basketball media journey began in this building with my first-ever broadcast on WSJU.

And the opposing team tonight (Bucknell) only scored 49 points, just as it did 18 years ago (Sacred Heart).

Thank you for letting me share my blessings with you.

Off and running at Carnesecca, where Darling misses a lefty mid-range jumper from the left elbow, and Bucknell gets on the board first at the other end. The Johnnies are uncharacteristically 0-for-3 to open. #sjubb

There’s a late-arriving crowd, but here’s the pregame Zub call as Zuby Ejiofor was introduced by public address announcer David Gildea. #sjubb

After two trips to Philly this week, it’s refreshing when your road trip is a 15-minute uber.

Game #16 comes from just out the window of the home base as St. John’s hosts Bucknell in the Johnnies’ last game before flying out to Vegas for the @Players_Era Festival. #sjubb

Off and running on 20th & Olney, where Duke Brennan capitalized off a La Salle miss and turned in a right corner three and lay-in to put Villanova ahead by a 5-0 tally with a minute gone.

Haven’t seen Darris Nichols since I called a game against him in 2008 at West Virginia.

PHILADELPHIA — The only other time I was here was back in 2013. It took 12 years, but I’m back.

Game #15, another #Big5 battle between La Salle and Villanova.

For those asking if I’d seriously blow off the Champions Classic, the answer is a resounding yes.

Game #14, the second of five in a row this week, is the return game between Iona and Princeton. Xaivian Lee won the front end in the final seconds last year at Jadwin.

Not exactly a quiet court, but anytime I can get this view of my favorite place in this crazy little game, the mystique is preserved.

A blessed good evening from the most magical place in the world.

Off and running inside the cathedral of college basketball. You can have MSG, Hinkle, wherever else you’d like to nominate. This place will always be special for me, and a blessing.

Back to business, AJ Levine scored first for Penn, Anthony Finkley tied it for St. Joe’s.

Not many places get me awestruck, but the way a lot of people in my native New York get when they walk into the Garden, that’s me with The Palestra. I haven’t been back since 2018, so that makes this even more special.

PHILADELPHIA — Every religion has a sacred pilgrimage. For college basketball purists, it’s this 8,722-seat marvel.

Game #13, hoops as it was meant to be played, a #Big5 battle between Penn and Saint Joseph’s. Monday night Mass is served at 7:00. #FightOnPenn #THWND

Before I head back to New York, here’s a morning after postgame hit following last night’s #UConn win:

Ross atoned for the third foul with his second three of the night.

Here’s the aftermath of that after Kevin Young ripped a 30. #UConn

I’ll just let the crowd tell the story here. #UConn
November 16, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Off and running in Boston, where Rob Wright — who Hurley admitted gave #UConn a hard time at Baylor last year — strikes first before Tarris gets forced into a held ball on the first Husky possession. It’s probably about 75/25 for the crowd split.
November 16, 2025 at 12:12 AM
BOSTON — The last time I was up here, #UConn scored 30 unanswered points on the way to a Final Four and another national championship.

Game #12 is my first look at the third-ranked Huskies this season, as No. 7 BYU visits Storrs North:
November 15, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Off and running in New Rochelle, where Iona has an alternate black jersey for the first time since the 2012-13 season, the Gaels’ last with Nike before switching to Adidas. That year ended with a #MAACHoops championship.

No score through the first minute.
November 15, 2025 at 12:04 AM
The first two schools besides my alma mater to credential me and open their doors to me play one another tonight for the first time in 20 years.

Game #11, a long-awaited meeting between Iona and Fordham:

Off and running in Newark, where even in an intimate gathering, the fans in the baseline courtside seats are standing at the tip. Monmouth couldn’t get a shot off, and Stephon Payne drew a foul on Seton Hall’s first offensive possession. #shbb #HALLin #FlyHawks
