Maybe a hot take but people treat Rouge One as gritty because everyone dies but it’s really not the deep Star WAR movie it has the reputation for being. The score is a great John Williams impression, and it’s chock full of awkward cameos. It’s just as “Disney” as the other movies. Fun though!

The scenes on Jedha did hint at some powerful themes watching it in 2026, but the movie wasn’t interested in exploring that. But there sure was time to have a cameo from the dude Obi Wan cuts an arm off of!

Though for Genevieve O'Reilly to go from a ROTS deleted scene to R1 to Andor… what a glowup. She must have been happy to finally have good material when she did the show.

Seeing the Mon Mothma who performed such incredible material in Andor, standing around and droning on with the most bland dialogue is so disappointing.
