Both doing exactly what we don't need, deepening the crisis, undoubtedly causing more deaths and destruction, especially in the Global South. It’s like a dystopian novel - near future fiction. But it’s actual.

We’re in a place where it’s simply the best choice for money. The ban on selling new petrol or diesel cars was always the right thing to do, the technology has caught up with the plan. The right wing narrative that we need a five year delay to 2035 is a Green Herring - it’s just nonsense.

Our country powered with forever fuels, energy made and priced here - permanently low bills and energy poverty eradicated. And that pesky climate thing tackled.

£50bn up in smoke every year, we get no infrastructure for that or real jobs….fossil fuels are single use, we have to keep buying them. Invest that £50bn instead in green energy and we get an incredibly different outcome.

The economic rules of the world are man made - they are not like laws of Physics. We wrote them (well not many of us had a hand in that) - we can and must re write them.

Never mind Russia and pumping cash into tanks and bombs - how about some controls on Big Food, it doesn’t need money - let’s have information and proper dietary advice - Bacon is a grade 1 carcinogen, alongside Tobacco - fact.

Across Britain we’ve taken vital habitats from nature to grow plants to feed animals to feed people - an incredibly destructive and reductive way to feed ourselves. If we all ate only plants we could give back half our entire country to nature.
