Reminds me of ‘Silo’ - a post apocalyptic, authoritarian, underground dystopia where the population’s access to tech is deliberately restricted to something resembling the late-70s, with monochrome CRTs, clunky keyboards and command line interfaces etc

Still very much an era of protectionism at that stage, and not only in Ireland. Opening of trade with GATT etc was probably still quite a few years off when that coat hanger was made!

So basically: let a hallucination prone, LLM-based AI claim to rewrite human knowledge using a dataset riddled with massive gaps, throw in a hefty dose of very human ideological and political bias, then retrain it on its own mistakes. Sure, what could possibly go wrong?
