It's like chess, you know. The Queen saves the King

This post from 2012 on Boards Dot Ie feels like some modern day papyrus scroll.

No way the poster could have predicted it would still be very relevant and commented on years later.

I'm obviously not against more housing but Finglas is very built up with lots of apartments squeezed into areas. I'm not sure how much unlocking Finglas has left or why the Luas would cause this.

Let's see what Fergus has to say.

I love it though it instantly reminded me of WWF wrestlers Ted DiBiase and Sherri Martel walking on O'Connell St in all its 90s glory

A niche topic but the new F3 bus route amazes me. Why would someone in McKee Ave in Finglas have to go around Finglas West and South to get to the city. It's the only bus route that goes down the road.

I don't really know what Humphreys has accomplished in terms of a United Ireland. It all feels very "identity politics" from people who hate identity politics.

This is the more interesting poll result for me because the discussion around the debate doesn't seem to match how the public saw it. And if the IT Political Podcast is wrong, then what is the world coming to.

Wonder if I could start a right wing conspiracy theory about this.

Something very amusing about Connolly getting (deservedly) raked over the coals for nominating O'Doherty and now getting asked why she isn't helping someone else get nominated (who shares quite a lot views with O'Doherty)

And back in March, RTE actually published an article challenging the idea landlords are fleeing the market

Maria Steen "loves the rule of law and the Constitution" does she? Would anyone ask her if she recognizes the Gender Recognition Act and accepts it? Instead of a fawning media coverage who just want her to run.

What a weird decision for a cycle lane. Force cyclists onto the road and into main traffic but get them onto a cycle lane proper just a short while up.

The current bane of my existence. If it's on time I can get the connecting 40e from Broombridge at 17:00 and be home by 17:10. Any slight delay and it adds an extra 20 mins to the commute.
