ooooh I see what you’re saying. that is very interesting to think about. I found an analysis of the Greek, but I’m not familiar with Greek or how it was used at the time for it to meaningfully inform my understanding of it. I am curious of the connotations of “ouranois” though!

been around the Lord’s Prayer a lot over the last couple weeks, and the words (“our Father, who art in heaven…”) didn’t readily invoke the prayer in my heart that I felt it’s meant to. I thought about what words would help me connect with the prayer and wrote a reinterpretation:

I didn’t take a great before pic, but it did turn out great! Supposedly it’ll continue to develop over the next week or so. It made my hair soft and shiny too :D

gm :) I was curious and looked up “Theotokos” and the britannica entry about it outlines one theological argument against her designation of Theotokos, not sure if that’s related to the opposition to the elevation of her status
