That's how I felt playing Wild Arms 2, especially during Lilka's dungeons, and one of the later dungeons with teleportation blocks, or blocks that opened new paths when you stepped on them with the weird animated background that made everything look the same. What a slog. I still finished it though.

This is the only one in the PR set that I've never finished.

Got my preorder in, I've been following this game and waiting for it to come to console physically for a while.

Still my favorite FF.

Lenna's Theme always gets me. I was playing through the Pixel Remasters as sort of a halfhearted attempt to play through and include the couple I'd started but never finished (1, 2, and 3) but ended up taking a little break after 4. Looking forward to jumping back into 5 for the 4th time.

The good news is you're coming up on 5, which is my favorite. The soundtrack still gets me.

I really loved this one. I beat a fan translation I have pressed to a repro cart, and also the PR version, and I enjoyed both experiences. I liked how there was a rotating roster of side characters to join you. Just wasn't too keen on the endgame. Like it was fine, but kinda dragged.

I felt accomplished after finally finishing it. I tried doing it on the handheld 3d remake, and the endgame was too much of a slog. I like that the PR versions all have boost options that feel like they respect my time.

There's a lot of Legends that hops around the timelines trying to fill in blanks, but this feels like a natural stopping point for now.

I liked the dungeons and the job system in 3, but I still think I preferred 2 for its story.

I loved FF2.
