My personal favorite is the orange-spined Penguin paperbacks of Graham Greene with watercolor illustrations by Paul Hogarth.

I don’t care for the contemporary trend of a lot of modern covers to default to stock photography or colored blobs behind a wall of text. At least those have bespoke art.
