Ha! My husband has to “suit up” in a heavy cavas shirt & put on leather gloves so we can cut LG’s nails & attempt to comb & clip a few mats out of her feathers. She’s more than a handful!

Remembering my parents Carroll & Elizabeth. Dad was in the Naval Reserves in 1942, he and Mom married on September 5th,1942 and then Dad was off to serve in the Navy in the Pacific until the war was over.

This was my dahlia "harvest" 3 years ago. After digging them up, I over-wintered them in ceder chip-filled boxes in our cold room. Oh My Aching Back. Not This Year. Don't feel a bit guilty about treating them as annuals. I'm doing that from now on.
